Life Since 2011 (Pink + Red)

Lately, I've been feeling the itch. The itch to blog like I used to. Maybe it's just my inner show pony, who misses the glamorous hours spent in my pyjamas in front of my laptop, or perhaps it's that I miss the little blossoming community around here. I miss sharing the vintage and antique treasures I own and come across, and babbling into this little box.

A lot has changed since I last posted from London in 2011. I was pretty miserable there, and moved from London to Berlin. I loved living in Berlin. I could live there again any time. My then-boyfriend, now-husband, Ramsay, flew over to join me and we spent a beautiful time living in Kreuzberg, while I painted, 9-5, five days a week. Eventually, the day came when we had to fly back to our native dusty ol' country. Obviously, by that, I mean we ran out of money.

We came back to Australia, and married in small, beautiful ceremony in a forest with all of our amazing friends (and an upright piano!). At the moment we live in Newcastle, in a tiny cottage, with our tiny black poodle, Bess. She was a double rescue dog - that is, she's been up for adoption twice in her short life. I can't imagine why - she's the most incredible little dog and it's impossible not to fall head-over-heels for her.

Though she sure is difficult to photograph!

In the spirit of this blog, here are some photographs of me in our spare room (or more accurately, vintage stock room - I sell vintage nowadays!) wearing my most beloved colour combination - pink and red.

• 1950s pink silk chiffon circle skirt
• Handknitted jumper, $8 from Vinnies in Belconnen, ACT.

So.

Life is good. How have you been?

P.S. How great is the Pearl Vintage Archive Logo? It was designed by the obscenely talented Carli Hyland at Studio HYHY. I've known her since we were eight years old, it makes a lady proud!

Oh man, I am SO glad you are back! Please come back to blogging regularly! And where can I buy some of your sweet, sweet vintage?

Oh shucks, Georgia! I will, that's the plan! :)
I'm currently selling at markets and fairs - the next one will be at Canberra Fash'n'Treasure market - but I'm putting together an Etsy shop as we speak! I'm using facebook for all of these kinds of immediate updates - the link is under the header.
