Alexandra Grecco

WHAT A GIDDY FOOL.

Also, today I received my new seafoam silk shorts from Alexandra Grecco (two posts in one day! Are you proud of me, Mum? ... Mum?) and a silk coral vintage shirt from theprivateparty on Etsy. They're both so dreamy. The shorts are incredible, so beautifully made ... I have to be careful not to drool all over them. It's hard to be cool when you're covered in drool. It rhymes, so it must be true. ANYWAY. I wore them with an 80's green suede and silver western belt, and the ever-present coral lipstick. Later I'll no doubt be adding tights. It's cold in this here hemisphere!

... and the hair. I've been officially unemployed for a day and a half, and I've already shaved half of my head and turned a pair of perfectly sensible black shoes into glittery, mermaid-coloured beasts. This time next week I will surely have dug a giant hole in my backyard, filled it with glitter and jelly snakes, and declared myself Queen of Sparkle Sauna before swandiving in. IT'S A SLIPPERY SLOPE.

Oh god. Being quiet now.

those shoes are amazing! I wish I owned a pair like it. May have to put that down on my list of things to make.

I'm really glad to see your blog again! I'm an anonymous reader, but it's definitely one of my favorites. I can't tell if it's the seeming freedom in your wardrobe, or the pleasure that you seem to take in clothes (as themselves, as things and in wearing), but I find your blog very inspiring and beautiful. I love the way you wear vintage, as well, in your personal style without trying to replicate an older look. It seems like you are able to re-appropriate them into something original.
I'm sorry to gush so much! Maybe it sounds a little (pretty) creepy. I hope you do keep blogging, though, and if not, best of luck with your art.

Your comment about the hair made me smile! (love that you shaved it) Yesterday I lost my job and I went straight to the hairdresser and had her cut about eleven inches off. It feels great! The shoes are wonderful, and the shirt is awesome.

Oh wow the blouse and shorts are just incredibly beautiful, the suede belt is the right touch and I think your new sparkly shoes would be perfect with the outfit too!!! The ribbon laces are yummy - any chance of a tutorial? xo
