All Hail The Opshop Gods

I've been at my parent's house for a week or so, on a holiday of sorts. One of my favourite things to do while at home is to scour the opshops in town, which, more often than not, yield pure secondhand gold. This trip was no exception. Everything I'm wearing - except the dress, which was a recent eBay find - is from one of the (many!) opshops in my home town.

• 1970's felt hat with feather, opshopped for $2
• 1970's 'Emma Domb' wedding dress, shortened to a mini, eBay
• Mustard coloured stockings, opshopped for 50c
• 1970's oxford grandma shoes, opshopped for $2.50
• 70's leather belt, opshopped for 50c

That dress is stunning! I am wanting to start adding some vintage dresses to my wardrobe. I have some vintage inspired dresses but no genuine vintage. Do you have any recommendations or good aussie or nz shops online? I know etsy and ebay have some great finds but I always try to by local first before going to overseas sellers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! My email is ksultanie(at)yahoo(dot)com.

Hi Kat! I would start maybe with Australian ebay, which is where I started buying vintage as a small-town girl! The online store Bowerbird Vintage is also Australian. I'd also like to mention the brand-spanking new shop opened by fellow blogger Gatsby and Me, called Golden Age vintage:

Thanks, Franca & Jenny, you're lovely!
