Sequinned Cardigan

I've ticked a lot of things off The List in the last few months. Vintage biker jacket? Check. Boater hat? Yep! Black patent boots? Done. Military jacket? Why, yes! 1940's pyjamas? 1940's playsuit? Black cinch belt? Check, check, check. Iridescent sequinned cardigan? See below.

I'm lucky to have found such lovely versions of all the things I've wanted for a long time. And, well, I have very few 'wants' left. For now.

I'm sure I'll think of something.

What's on your clothing wishlist at the moment?

Okay, first of all, sorry for the photograph. The truth is, most of my overhead lights in my apartment have blown, and I'm too damn tiny/lazy to change the bulbs. Including my kitchen, where I normally take my outfit photographs. My solution - as my boyfriend duly noted - is just to move a lamp into the room. So I'm now cooking by the soft, atmospheric light of a single lamp, which is not exactly the ideal light for picture-taking. Or cooking, actually. Oh well.

So welcome to my crowded spare room, home of a random red chair Pink left here, and my little piano.

Sorry, really.

This is what I wore to go and see a production of West Side Story. I honestly don't think I'm a musical person. It was good, but so serious that I fell prey to the giggle loop for the whole three hours. I was laughing so hard at one point I had to bury my face in the boyfriend's jumper so I didn't make a noise. Did I mention it was while the main character was dying? I am the true face of evil.

orange + sequins.
See? Evil face of inappropriate laughter.

I wore:

• 1960's salmon synthetic crepe party dress.
• Cream herringbone wool tights.
• 1950's cream iridescent sequinned cardigan
• Black patent buckle boots, Modern Vintage, secondhand.

& I added a black beret later. I love this cardigan -- I've been looking for one just like it for ages!

Okay, off I go -- time for cup of coffee no. 2!

I find musicals hilarious as well, even though I love them. Something about people bursting into song is just inherently comical.

My wishlist is ever-growing, but includes my fruitless search for high-waisted navy shorts!

Fantastic cardi! It's gorgeous.
I get right into musicals - goosebumps, tears, you name it - they're the only kind of theatre I can handle. I wonder if that makes me terribly uncultured? Haha.

I'm not sure what's on my clothing wishlist, in particular. Hmm.
